I'm Laila, 22 years old. When I was 13-year-old I got to know about the numerous global environmental issues and became a member of Greenpeace. I was striving for action. Even though my opinions about the organization have shifted during the years, I value Greenpeace for their persistence and fearlessness. They dare to act. And act is what we desperately need. My goal is to run a full marathon in the fall 2019, with two of my friends. This is a huge challenge for me, and I want to make it count. Running for the future of us all makes me more motivated than anything else I could imagine. For so long have I been frustrated with the slow pace of change in the world. But recently it has became more clear to me than ever before: to be the change I want to see in the world is all I can do. This is what I can do, so this is what I will do.
